The Spring/Summer ’14 Nohi Kids collection was inspired by the designer’s trek to Thailand where she immersed herself in the everyday beauty of the tropical land. Common sights, including a vendor’s street stall with vibrant violet and pink parasols and a trip to an elephant sanctuary, became ideas for bold new prints children will adore- elephants, pinwheel umbrellas, blossoming spring trees, and more. Layers of ruffles and ruffle accents are also a fresh theme in the collection, retailing from $9 to $40 in sizes 12-18 months up to size 7/8 at

Twirl-ready tank dresses and gathered waistband dresses with center ruffles make dressing up fun and comfortable for special occasions.  As always, Nohi Kids uses their signature soft, certified organic cotton, bamboo viscose, and a touch of spandex for a durable garment that can withstand everyday wear and tear. Layered ruffle dresses alternate rows of solid and print ruffles for a touch of whimsy, while the tank sash dress provides a simple, enduring silhouette that can be paired with Nohi Kids’ swirl knit leggings. The Busy Bottom tank dress combines qualities of both designs with a surprise ruffle detail in back.

For the wee ones, Nohi Baby offers the Thailand-inspired prints from kid sizes as well as two new prints exclusive for baby- airplane and dog prints. A scaled-down ruffle dress is a new addition that ups the cute factor for baby girls and makes the perfect first Easter dress. Hats, yoga pants, rompers, sleep sacks, and bodysuits round out the collection available in 0 to 3 months up to 12 to 18 months sizes.

Based in the Bay area, Nohi Kids aims to be as eco-friendly as possible and donates a portion of their profits to children’s charities. To learn more about their brand, visit

Nohi Kids is a new collection featuring rich, vibrant hues paired with modern, urban-yet-playful graphics for kids aged 2 to 8.  Using a combination of certified organic cotton, bamboo fiber, and spandex for the softest touch, Nohi Kids’ comfortable pieces are perfect for active kids to run and play. Founded in mid-2010, Nohi Kids is the creation of Oakland, CA-based Janel Jones, a veteran childrenswear designer. The fall/winter ’11 collection is a colorful mix including rust long-sleeved tees with motorcycle graphics, teal peacock dresses, and grey guitar hoodies, all affordably priced from $22 to $40 retail at

“I try to design the clothes while keeping in mind how quickly kids grow,” said Janel, who previously co-founded Abe Jones children’s clothing. “For instance, our dresses are made to be dresses first, then tunics over leggings the following year.”

In addition, Nohi Kids incorporates elastic waist and arm details for easy on/off and the inevitable growth spurts. Several Nohi Kids pieces are ideal for mixing and matching, from bubble skirts with leggings and a long-sleeved graphic tee to a sash dress with leggings.

Nohi Kids will also debut their organic Nohi Baby collection this fall, featuring owl, apple, and car prints on bodysuits, yoga pants, and blankets for ages newborn to 18 months. Just like the kids collection, all Nohi Baby fabric is a combination of certified organic cotton, fiber from bamboo, and a touch of spandex to keep it washing well and lasting forever.

The fall collection will hit stores in mid-August and is currently available for pre-order at
